Our client is seeking a Hardware/Software Wifi/WiMax Quality/Test Engineer to be responsible for testing and assuring the stability and reliability of client’s products. The Quality/Test Engineer is involved in the entire project life cycle, from planning and scheduling through release to customers including: design and execution of testing that complement each phase of the project, providing feedback, escalating issues, and supporting all participants involved in the product development and release process. These individuals need to understand Radio Frequency and the ability to test both in a lab environment as well as real world scenarios. Need to understand the principles of RF and how to resolve complex real world issues and the ability to think outside the box. Need to have a good understanding of Cisco wireless networks and how to set up and test Cisco environments and test integration scenarios within Cisco.

Responsibilities:

* Develop testing environment based on product requirements and design or functional specifications
* Perform ad-hoc, systematic and automated testing of products; thoroughly document test results; track defects until full resolved
* Work closely with developers to conduct design reviews, ensure proper testing during implementation, schedule deliverables and resolve known defects
* Analyze and report software defects, work with developers to reproduce and troubleshoot problems
* Interface with customers to analyze field problems in order to replicate problems in the test environment
* Provide management with schedule updates and assessments of products and features and fitness to enter Beta and General Availability releases
* Participate in technical communication with and training for departments including marketing, customer support, and sales
