Description

In this position, you will be a wireless product marketing manager responsible for driving Intel’s success in Wi-Fi products and initiatives for mobile PC platforms. You will be driving product definition, ecosystem development, and customer design win engagements for Intel Wi-Fi hardware and software on the Centrino mobile platform. Further, you will lead external facing marketing activities such as field, customer, and industry communications involving product collateral and positioning, design win support, training, and product launch activities. Also you will be a key contributor to the product planning process in defining product feature-benefits and delivering OEM feedback on product details, volumes, and pricing. You will represent marketing as an integral member of the Wi-Fi product development team working on both Wi-Fi hardware and software. Finally, you will drive enabling and partner programs key to the successful ramp of Intel’s Wi-Fi technology in the consumer and enterprise notebook segments. Intel’s Connect with Centrino (CwC) program is a key mobile platform initiative to drive demand for Intel mobile wireless technology. As a Wi-Fi product marketing manager, your responsibility will also include expanding the CwC program to include complementary consumer electronics devices and PC peripherals that can create increased demand for Intel Wi-Fi enabled Centrino mobile PCs.

Qualifications

You should possess a technical undergraduate degree in Engineering or Computer Science (an M.B.A. is preferred) with six to eight years of product marketing experience. Additional qualifications include: - Engineering and business education or the equivalent industry experience and understanding - Proven success interfacing with customers and field sales - Strong communication and presentation skills - Program management abilities - Experience with hardware and software product design, definition, and marketing - Experience engaging with cross functional and cross divisional teams - Communication industry experience and technology understanding would be an added advantage - Demonstrated success driving initiatives with consumer electronics OEM partners would be an added advantage
