General Job Requirements:
Will typically possesses three or more years of experience in telecommunications network design and implementation; including knowledge in RF propagation principles and antenna theory and applications. Demonstrate basic understanding of field construction principles and standards with electrical distribution network. Demonstrated excellent conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to perform complex technical analysis; provide recommendations after thorough research of alternatives to solutions that typically have a moderate impact at the organizational level. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the demonstrated ability to work effectively and interface with technical and non-technical audience, including peers, clients, management, and vendors. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, prioritize, schedule, coordinate, and manage multiple projects or assignments with general instructions; adjust to changing priorities and assignments; work well both independently and in team settings. Demonstrate the ability to take initiative and accountability for achieving results. Computer literacy requirements include working knowledge of Windows XP, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. The candidate must have a valid driver’s license and insurance, as the position requires travel throughout service territory.
Typical Responsibilities:
Interfacing with engineering, management, and business partners to estimate and design additions to the Company’s internal telecommunications network for company operations; implementing the network architecture by deploying recommended products and technologies as well as utilization of existing networking and security infrastructure; preparing documentation of network additions for installation by construction personnel; performing field evaluation of planned repeater sites to ensure connectivity to intended end device and existing network infrastructure and will verify proposed structure will meet current construction standards; performing complex technical analysis in planning, engineering, and design; providing recommendations for products, technologies, and processes that will enhance the current system. This position will require extensive driving, including off road, and extended overnight stays.
