**This position is Contract Contingent upon Funding Award and expected date of award is anticipated to be October of 2008. All resumes submitted will be retained for full review and consideration for candidates who meet the minimum qualifications once Task Orders are issued. **

Job Description:

Establish and manage a comprehensive Wireless Communications Devices (WCD) Program in the U.S. Central Command area of operations. Support all aspects of program maintenance including policies, procedures, implementation, troubleshooting, repair, logistical support for existing devices and integration of new technology. Manage secure and non-secure wireless communications devices and auxiliaries including local/international cellular phones, Research in Motion (RIM) Blackberries, Secure Mobile Environment Portable Electronic Devices (SME PEDs), Global Secure Mobile (GSMs), Land Mobile Radios (LMRs), Satellite (Iridium), Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs), calling cards, Government Emergency Telecommunications Service (GETS) cards, pagers and other user operated wireless devices/ auxiliaries in an efficient manner. Maintain accountability and manage all billings pertaining to the aforementioned devices/ auxiliaries.

Certifications/Licenses:
CNE, MSCE

Experience/Training Required:

  • Seven (7) years of progressive Information Technology (IT) experience including at least five projects in technical areas included in Section C.
  • At least one project must have occurred within the past three (3) years.

Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to end users on a variety of issues.
  • Identify, research, and resolve technical problems.
  • Respond to telephone calls, e-mail and personnel requests for technical support.
  • Track and monitor the problem to insure a timely resolution.
  • Provide cell phone billing analysis and recommendations to reduce costs.
  • Maintain monthly billing notices to Directorates/customers.
  • Maintain statistical data on wireless devices, trends and new wireless technology.
  • Provide technical recommendation for wireless requirements.

Education Required:

  • Associate’s Degree or Formal Accreditation (e.g. CNE, MSCE)
