Our Vendor Manager manages the relationship with our wireless small business vendor and is based on-site at the B2B call center location. In this role you’ll uphold, and ensure our vendor adheres to, the highest company standards.
This role requires a person who can be a “champion” and “motivator” at the vendor site while ensuring the vendor is held accountable.
You’ll have an opportunity to utilize your skill set in the following ways:
• Establish reporting packages utilizing Power Point and Excel to reflect vendor performance; conduct monthly/quarterly formalized vendor reviews
• Manage to a budget
• Deliver objectives within set parameters
• Introduce and look for opportunities to develop new sales strategies within the vendor
• Formalize best practices and communicate these practices
• Motivate representatives of the vendor for peak performance
• Partner with other organizations to ensure you are networked within the small business channel and tuned into what’s going on
• Partner with senior level leadership at the vendor, as well as their representatives. You’ll meet with the vendor leadership, attend meetings, coordinate trainings, and make sure the latest equipment, rate plan promos, etc. are received and understood by the vendor
• Make sure the vendor is adhering to quality standards, such as listening to calls and observing their reps
• Troubleshoot issues on behalf of the vendor—IT system issues, access issues, for example; as well as set up new employees on company systems; add/delete reps in the systems; and, make recommendations for terminations
• Ensure SOX procedures are being observed
• Review daily/weekly vendor metrics such as the number of calls, answer times, number of fails, and number of opportunities in the funnel
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• 5-7 years’ related experience
Position Qualifications:
These additional skills will help to ensure your success:
• Prior sales experience within a B2B segment (wireless preferred)
• Prior vendor management experience
• Proficiency of MS Power Point and Excel
• Ability to drive sales results
• Highly skilled in communication – both written and verbal—to conduct reviews and present at meetings
• Demonstrated leadership skills
