Basic Qualifications:

5 + years in IT/Communications sales experience selling to State and Local Government accounts.

Department Description:

Senior Account Executive position in New Jersey/Long Island area for public safety/service state and local customers working with State and Local Customers and Manufacturers Rep.’s to sell within a defined account base.

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
Senior Account Sales Executive will drive Motorola GovernmentElectronics Solutions to State and Local Customers and through our Alternate Channels including Manufacturers Rep.’s and Dealers. Focus includes development, planning and selling Mission Critical Communications equipment to Public Safety/Service Agencies in key accounts in NJ/ Long Island Area. Candidate must be located in the New Jersey/Long Island. Implementation and execution of these plans through account team and all support services. Development and maintenance of relationships at multiple levels within all accounts
assigned. Responsible for ensuring that customer communication is at all times, clear, concise and in-line with company direction. To identify diverse customer needs and understand how our product portfolio can be applied to satisfy these needs. Presentation of complex product line roadmaps via account teams. Feedback ofcompetitive issues.

Specific Knowledge/Skills:

Five to ten years in direct sales with experience in large system sales to government agencies a must.
Bachelors degree preferred.
Requires some overnight travel. Understanding and experience of public service/safety marketplace, including customer operations and requirements a must. Through understanding of the competitive marketplace for public safety wireless communications required.
IT oriented background a plus.
Strong customer relationship skills required.
Presentation skills and training in group settings required.
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and problem solving abilities required. Proficiency and self-sufficiency in technical sales is a primary skill set desired. Proficiency with computer software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
