JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Responsible for all MATLAB algorithm development efforts for this project. Specific algorithms to be developed include signal detection and processing for wideband signals such a direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS), WCDMA, and burst mode signals.
• Responsible for working from high level system requirements and developing a signal processing architecture and system.
• May be responsible for designing, developing or adapting existing geolocation algorithms.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS:

• THIS POSITION REQUIRES AN ACTIVE TOP SECRET/SCI WITH LIFESTYLE POLYGRAPH CLEARANCE.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field and 10+ years of related experience.
• 10+ years experience in developing signal processing algorithms for communications signals in MATLAB.
• Experience in any of the following signal processing algorithms include: carrier detection, demodulation, residual carrier and phase detection, DSSS code detection, baud detection and synchronization, error correcting codes, preamble detection.
• Knowledge of the following modulation formats is required: BPSK, QPSK, GMSK

DESIRED SKILLS:

• The ideal candidate will also have some experience developing and implementing algorithms on DSP processors from companies like Texas Instruments, Analog Devices, Motorola, or others.
• Some experience with Xilinx or Altera series of FPGAs would be helpful.
• The ideal candidate should have experience developing signal processing systems for signals in use by the wireless industry and will have knowledge of the next generation wireless systems.
