Description:

• Accompany sales reps on sales calls.
• Provide technical expertise on company’s technical solutions.
• Produce white papers on various technologies and assist in marketing our technical offerings to customers.
• Conduct site surveys and provide technical consulting for customers in order to determine the proper network solution we are providing to our customer.
• Installation of wireless networks to include installation and configuration of wireless controllers, access points and management software.
• Configure, test and turn up network installations.
• Develops Labor & Material estimates (BOL/BOM) and a Statement of Work (SOW).
• Assists sales reps with creating proposals in response to RFPs and customer requests.

Requirements:

• Thorough knowledge of basic networking design and configuration for products such as Cisco, Nortel, Juniper.
• Knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF required.
• Thorough knowledge of wireless products such as Cisco, Meru, Aruba, Aerohive.
• Thorough knowledge of wireless protocols, 802.11x.
• Competent in the engineering and installation of wireless networks.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCDA or NNCDS a plus.
   

Essential Position Functions / Principal Accountabilities:

• Provides pre-sales support by working with sales and engineering team to produce proposals and quotes for customers.
• Attends meetings with customers with sales reps or solo to determine needs and provide consulting services to customers.
• Develop labor and materials estimates as well as statements of work and associated information.
• Plans and manages time and schedule effectively.
