Exciting opportunity for a Director of Systems Engineering to build and lead our engineering group!

Who We Are:
We are a leading and growing wireless technology provider to the energy and utility industry.
We are currently hiring a Director, Systems Engineering, who will report to the VP of Infrastructure Development. The Director, Engineering Systems will build and manage the systems engineering group, which will be responsible for system integration testing along with characterizing and improving network performance.

What You Will Do:

• Build a strong team of systems engineers
• Analyzing statistics from existing deployed customer network.
• Simulating large-scale network performance.
• Setting up and running network test beds.
• Testing and characterizing new network and software products before release to the field.
• Ensuring device interoperability across different product versions.
• Support the sales and marketing team with system-level technical analyses:
• Provide presentations and written analysis of network performance.
• Support proposal writers by providing technical analysis and test results.
• Understand network characteristics and identify areas for efficiency improvements.

What You Need to Qualify:

• Ten+ years in engineering in startup technology companies.
• Deep knowledge of networking technology and RF products mandatory.
• Experience with wireless mesh technologies, cellular technologies, and network management technologies preferred.
• Ability to communicate at varying levels of technical detail with customers, business partners, internal marketing, sales, support and engineering staffs, in one-on-one and group situations.
• Proven ability to build and lead an engineering team. Strong leadership is a must.
• Experience defining and executing testing strategies for complex, multi-technology networks.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Engineering background required, MS or Ph.D. preferred.
