Position Summary
Hands-On Mobile is looking for a dynamic and talented Brand Manager. You will be responsible for owning and driving the marketing and consumer messaging of key products and services, particularly the product launch plan for the Hands-On Developer’s Network and mobile applications for consumer purchase. You will have the opportunity to lead and manage cross-departmentally with the entire organization on large-scale initiatives as well as take ownership of a number of highly important product launches.
The ideal candidate will be able to lead and develop key consumer driven messages and initiatives to the Hands-On Mobile marketing vision, be a creative thought leader on the topic of consumer product marketing and will have the focus and passion to provide leadership and continuous success on the products and programs that he or she owns. The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the marketing, technology and sales teams as well have daily interaction with senior management.
Responsibilities
* Lead and develop product-marketing strategies including positioning, roadmaps and quantitative targets. Implement and manage the marketing of products, programs and custom campaigns, flawlessly executing
* Conceptualize business and user requirements for new products, incorporating cross-functional input, and market research/analytics.
* Team closely with Product Development and Management to scope projects, support development, optimize products and define go-to-market strategy.
* Aptitude in product development life-cycle; gathering requirements, performing market and competitive analysis, determining product feature sets, and managing a product through the design, development, implementation and launch phases.
* Manage cross-departmental teams to effectively launch products and programs to market. Team closely with customer care, billing, technology development, sales operations, logistics and marketing communications.
* Develop and implement Go-To-Market strategies, ensuring flawless launch execution and clear consumer messaging of key product roll-outs.
* Develop and deliver results-driven integrated marketing campaigns that span all marketing disciplines such as but not limited to Branding, Affiliate Marketing, PR, Promotions, Web, Merchandising, Email, Event Marketing and Direct Mail. Drive cross-functional teams to develop and execute on marketing plans.
* Work to continuously improve and promote offerings and optimize response/ROI on marketing initiatives. Work closely within Marketing to lead cross-functional efforts to achieve usage, conversion, revenue and ROI targets.
* Maintain deep understanding of the Hands-On Mobile product offering, market environment and competitive positioning. Identify and evaluate opportunities to improve the user experience.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 5-7 years in marketing, product planning, product management, and/or product marketing. In-depth understanding of telecommunications industry is a must!
* Ability to demonstrate knowledge and creativity in successfully structuring and managing product marketing projects.
* Thorough understanding of product lifecycle from development to launch to market maturation.
* Technical adaptation - ability to ramp up and demonstrate working knowledge of new technical concepts in a timely manner.
* Familiarity with product pricing, sales tools development, sales training
* Self starter and proven performer with demonstrated track record for successfully bringing products to market and growing market share.
* Effective project management skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects with multiple stakeholders in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
* Effective in cross-functional team environment.
* Strong analytical skills.
* College Degree required, MBA a plus
